COMBE DOWN RESIDENT
Death of Mr. Zebedee Willcox, of Crossway Cottages
One of the oldest residents on Combe Down and the oldest but one of local Forresters, Mr. Zebedee Willcox, died at 3, Crossway Cottages, on Tuesday. He was aged 83.
Mr. Willcox was very well known "on the Down." He lived at Crossway Cottages for 48 years and worked as a quarryman on Combe Down for about 30 years.
Afterwards he was employed by several building firms as a stone sawyer, until he was 70 when he retired.
His wife died seven years ago. He leaves four sons and four daughters.
The funeral will take place at St. James' Cemetery at 11.30 a.m. on Saturday.
