Mrs. Rice who belongs to Torquay, is a granddaughter of Mrs. John Oram of Southgate Street.

Mr. Rice was very popular on the Down, but one who knew him well said: “He was the most modest of men, but everybody respected him. He was a true Britsher and gentleman to the fingertips.”
