Obituary For William Bishop Pearce

DEATH OF MR. W. B. PEARCE

Gardener Combe Down for 40 Years

The funeral took place at Monkton Combe Churchyard on Thursday of Mr. William B. Pearce, of 5. Brunswick Place, Combe Down, who died on Monday, after an illness of several months.

A service was held in Combe Down Chapel, conducted the Rev. H. J. Galley and Pastor Tucker.

There were a large number of floral tributes from relatives and friends.

Mr. Pearce was very well-known on Combe Down, having lived there practically all his life. He was aged 69.

For 40 years he was employed as gardener by Miss Henley, of Rosemount."

He was a regular worshipper at Union Chapel. Combe Down, for a long period, and was also a chorister of Widcombe Baptist Chapel Bath.

Mr Pearce was also a well-known member of Bath Gardeners' Association.

He leaves a widow but no children, and also three brothers three sisters, all round about the same .
