Obituary For Emma Jacobs Blinman

DEATH OF BATH FARMER'S WIDOW

Mrs. A. G. Brown, of Glasshouse

Mrs. Emma Jacobs widow of Mr. Ashton Brown,n Graham Brown, died on Sunday at Glasshouse Farm, Bath, where she had lived for 55 years

The last surviving member of the Blinman family, well-known in the Farrington Gurney district, she was 87 years of age.

Her husband died in January, 1936. They were married at Farrington Gurney and lived there a few years before going to Glasshouse Farm. Most of the farmland has been sold, and is now a housing estate.

Mrs. Brown leaves four sons, two daughters having died, and six grandchildren. Mr. Arthur Brown is superintendent of a London Public Assistance institution. Mr. Gilbert Brown is manager of the Cheddar Valley Dairy Co., and Mr. Tom Brown is employed by United Dairies, Ltd., in London.

Mr. Harry Brown, who was disabled in the last war, is the only son now living at the farm.

Some years ago Mrs. Brown regularly attended Southstoke Church, and the funeral service
took place there on Thursday. The interment followed at Locksbrook Cemetery.
